Get the IT Strategic Plan that you’ve been Missing
IT Strategic planning is a key feature of all our Canopy packages. We do it face-to-face with you, on a systematic and regular basis.
For all NPI clients, the IT Strategy Review is a periodic get-together in which we look closely at where you are in meeting your goals, where you’re going, and how your IT system can help you get there. It’s a two-way, guided conversation between you and your IT strategic planning consultants that makes your options simple and clear — then develops a “road map” (IT strategic plan) to allow for accurate budgeting and to prevent surprises.
Typically, the IT Strategy Plan Review has three components:
- Re-examining your business goals and strategy;
- Looking closely at the coming 12 to 24 months, then projecting forward up to five years, with upcoming needs laid out along the timeline; and
- A candid conversation about how well your IT assets, and NPI, are performing for you.
Our day-to-day goal is to do our work so well that you barely know we’re doing it. So the IT Strategy Plan Review is a chance for us to talk together about what we’ve been doing, and to look ahead in a systematic, proactive way.
As in our initial conversations with you, we start by asking questions.
Are you concerned about system reliability, malware or hacking, the cost of needed expansion or upgrades? Do you foresee growing your staff, and if so will you need to add workstations or expand server capacity? Does it make sense to consider cloud managed services? Whatever choices look best for you, what would their budget impacts be?
Our IT strategic planning consultants can talk about anything.
If your IT Strategic Review calls for any new equipment or applications, we only recommend those we have used and tested here at NPI. And we’ll plan to do a pilot program at your site with a small selection of your staff, to make sure we spot and resolve potential issues before we go live.
If any system downtime is required, as in server replacement or migration, we will plan for the absolute minimal disruption to your IT strategic plan — usually by making the change at night or on a weekend.
NPI’s strategic planning aids in the management of our day to day IT operations and their staff are responsive, helpful, and provide good quality technical support.”

We approach our client relationships, and any projects that result, as a collaboration.
You will always know what we recommend and why. You’ll know what we’re doing and how we’re doing it. That’s the NPI way.
